I have never written a review before for anything I’ve purchased but I felt compelled to let those of you who are looking to buy a breast pump know that THIS IS IT! I have purchased two pumps prior to buying the Ameda Purely Yours Breast pump and have not had satisfactory results. My first pump stopped “sucking” after only one week. The second pump I actually loved and used when I was at home full-time but it was not powerful enough when I returned to school full-time. When it was time to buy a double electric breast pump, I read just about every review online, trying to find the best one. I’m so happy I decided to go with the purely yours pump. Great Breast Pump!!
I really like the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pumping system. I was started on it while my son was in the hospital for nine days after he was born and I have been using it ever since. As I am a Nurse, I was able to try one of the other leading breast pumps which I found a lot harder to clean. I found that there is a much lower risk of having the milk enter the breast pump with the Ameda.

Excellent Pump!
When my son was born, the Lactation Specialist at the hospital highly recommended the Ameda Purely Yours Breast pump. She has a lot of experience with pumps and I am glad I trusted her opinion.
What I really like is that the milk does not back up into the tubes which would mean I have to clean out the tubes which I hear is a nightmare. In addition, there are very few parts to clean which makes cleanup quick and easy.
The suction power of the purely yours breast pump is great. The suction ranges from very hard and rapid to soft and slow. I consistently got about 8 Oz of milk after 20 minutes pumping…

Usually after the first few days this is no longer an issue and they are happy to have the controls as their pumping patterns change.
- The sound generated by this breast pump would not be considered loud but when pumping in a public place the sounds generated by the motor while pumping is noticeable.
